A physician who presents a full, current, active, unconditioned license from another U.S. licensing jurisdiction and who can provide reasonable proof of meeting qualifications for licensure in Maine may, without examination, be granted a temporary license for a period not to exceed 100 days, when the board deems it necessary to provide relief for declared local emergencies or for other appropriate reasons as determined by the board.
