To receive certification as a Certified Stenomask Reporter, an individual must have successfully completed an approved, accredited, or recognized course of study in court reporting, which can be found on the National Verbatim Reporters Association website. Additionally, the applicant must pass the certified verbatim reporter skills examination as well as the CSMR examination. Upon meeting these requirements, an applicant must submit an application for certification.
