An applicant for a Fire Alarm Specialty Technician License in the State of Michigan must be at least 20 years old, have received a certification by the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technology as an engineering technician, level 2, or equivalent level, and must take and pass the Fire Alarm Specialty Technician examination. The license application fee is $50.00.
