License: Race Horse Stable Attendant (Groom)

<h3>Occupational Description</h3><br>Grooms are employed by a licensed Trainer at a racetrack. They are responsible for the care of the horse and barn area, including the feeding, bathing, and maintaining the general appearance of the horse. A groom may be allowed to accompany the horse to the saddling paddock before a race, to the test barn and to perform other duties as prescribed by the employer.<br><h3>Licensure Requirements</h3><br>A groom must be at least 16 years old. A felony conviction may be grounds for denial.<br><h3>Fees</h3><br>License - $15.00<br><h3>Renewal</h3><br>Required annually by December 31st. The renewal fee is $15.00.Fingerprints are required every 5 years.
