Applicants must: 1) Be of good moral character. 2) Be able to adequately speak and write in English. 3) Have graduated from a physician assistant program that is accredited by: a) the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, OR b) if graduation occurred before January 1, 2001, the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation, or the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs. 4) Have been certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. 5) Provide fingerprints for a background check. 6) Provide verification of their credentials through the Federation Credentials Verification Service (FCVS). Note: Applicants who have not practiced for a year or more prior to applying for licensure may be required to supply evidence of clinical competence to the Board.
