Applicants must: 1) Be at least 21 years old, of good character and good reputation. 2) Pass a 2-hour Nevada State Board land surveying examination. 3) Pass the Fundamentals of Land Surveying (LSI) exam.* 4) Pass the Principles and Practice of Land Surveying (PLS) examination.* Note: An applicant for the PLS exam must have completed a 4 year approved college program in surveying and have 4 years of experience in land surveying. *National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) exams (8-hour and 6-hour written tests.) To be eligible for certification as a land surveyor intern applicants must: 1) Be a graduate of, or in the final year of, a land-surveying or engineering curriculum of 4 years approved by the board. 2) Have passed the Fundamentals of Land Surveying (LSI) exam. Fees may be subject to change. Fees are: application and exam (professional land surveyor)--$200; biennial license renewal (professional land surveyor)--$100; application for Fundamentals/Intern (LSI) exam--$30; PLS Nevada specific exam--$100.
