License: Dietitian

Dietitians must be licensed in Nevada. Applicants must: 1) Be at least 21 years old and of good moral character. 2) Have a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university in human nutrition, nutrition education, dietetics, food & nutrition, food systems management or a program approved by the Board. 3) Have completed at least 1,200 hours of training and experience within the US in the practice of dietetics under the direct supervision of a licensed or registered dietitian, or an individual holding a doctorate degree in a program approved by the Board. 4) Has passed the registration exam given by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) (credential verification from CDR must be included with the application). 5) Submit 2 sets of fingerprints to the Central Repository for NV Records of Criminal History for a background check. (Note: NRS 449.174- Grounds for license denial, suspension or revocation.) Fees may be subject to change. Fees are: license --$200 (valid 2 years); fingerprints--$37.50.
