The Fire Marshal's Office requires a certificate of registration for many fire protection-related equipment installers and repairers. Certificates are in the following areas: portable fire extinguishers, engineered/pre-engineered extinguishing systems, backflow prevention, hydrants, fire alarm/protective signaling systems, automatic fire sprinkler systems, underground sprinkler systems, hood and duct cleaning, standpipe systems, residential fire sprinkler systems, and heat detectors (EWD).
