<p>Well Pump Installers maintain and install pumps for water systems. A pump installer license is required to install new pump systems and perform maintenance on existing pump systems. There are two categories of licenses: domestic (up to three horsepower), and commercial, industrial, and municipal pump installation (any horsepower).</p> <p><strong>Legislation:</strong> NH RSA 482-B; Administrative Rules Chapter We 100-1000</p> <p><strong>Licensure Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Be actively engaged in the trade for a period of three years prior to the date of application, with experience directly related to the type of license issued</li> <li>Pass an examination prepared and administered by the New Hampshire Water Well Board</li> <li>Obtain the appropriate license from the Board</li> </ul> <p><strong>Examination:</strong> Written examination required</p> <p><strong>Continuing Education:</strong> A minimum of two hours of continuing education pertaining to water pumps, water wells, or water conditioning and treatment systems are required annually</p> <p><strong>Fees</strong>:</p> <ul> <li>Application: $25</li> <li>Examination: $10 for each license category</li> <li>License: $100</li> </ul> <ul>All licenses expire annually on June 30</ul> <p><strong>Reciprocity:</strong> No reciprocal agreements with other states currently exist</p> <p>revised Jan 2018</p>
