One must have a current nursing home administrator license to administer, manage, supervise a NC nursing home. A nursing home administrator is one who possesses a core of knowledge, skills, and abilities to administer a health-care facility licensed as a nursing home, within a state level of authority and responsibility, in which the health, safety and welfare of residents are maintained in accordance with state and federal regulatory requirements and generally accepted professional standards. Must have compassion for the residents and families. A nursing home administrator is responsible for their facility 24/7 for 365 days a year.
