During the NC State of Emergency, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the NC Board of PT Examiners is issuing temporary exemptions from licensure for PTs and PTAs who can validate they have an active license in another state/territory in U.S. These temporary Exemptions are active only during the state of emergency and will be rescinded when the NC state of emergency ends. This requirement is part of state law, the NC Physical Therapy Practice.
