JOB DESCRIPTION: A CSR is defined as a salaried employee of an appointed insurance producer, broker or agency. A customer service representative may conduct insurance-related business with customers who have been solicited by any insurance producer, broker, or customer service representative in the appointing agency, and may conduct insurance-related business with customers who have not been so solicited to the extent and under conditions that are otherwise consistent with this section and with the insurer's contract with the insurance producer or broker. In all such transactions the customer service representative must always identify himself or herself as a customer service representative of the appointing insurance producer, broker, or agency.
