Allows an individual to operate a school bus. No person shall transport pupils in a school bus or a vehicle that has a capacity of more than 20 passengers and not subject to regulations promulgated by the Oregon Department of Transportation or U.S. Department of Transportation, unless such person has a valid School Bus Driver's Permit or Certificate or is a temporary driver, approved by ODE. No person shall transport pupils in a school bus of any size or type without first receiving documented instruction in its safe operation. School bus driver applicants need to work with a school district or contractor to become qualified.
