A barber teacher is licensed to provide instruction to individuals earning hours toward qualifying for any of the barber licensing examinations. Instruction may occur within a licensed school of barbering, or as a teacher of a student training with a licensed shop. An individual licensed as a barber teacher is qualified to perform the functions of a barber or barber manager without the requirement for additional licensure.
