LAND SURVEYOR<br><br> Land Surveyor means a person who is engaged in the practice of land surveying.<BR><BR>Practice of land surveying means any service of work, the adequate performance of which involves the application of special knowledge of the principles of mathematics, the related physical and applied sciences and the relevant requirements of law for adequate evidence to the act of measuring and locating lines, angles, elevations, natural and man-made features in the air, on the surface of the earth, within underground workings and on the beds of bodies of water for the purpose of determining areas and volumes, for the monumenting of property boundaries and for the platting and layout of lands and subdivisions of land, including the topography, drainage, alignment and grades of streets, and for the preparation and perpetuation of maps, records, plats, field notes, records and property descriptions that represent these surveys.<BR><BR>REQUIREMENTS: You are required to submit the following with your Professional Land-Surveyor-in-Training (PLSIT) application:<BR>1. A $25 application licensure fee<BR>2. Proof of Education: A copy of your high school diploma or GED certificate; or a copy of an associate's degree transcript along with a completed course reporting form; or a copy of a bachelor's degree transcript along with a completed course reporting form.<BR>3. Proof of 4 years of progressive practical experience, 2 years of which shall have been under the direct supervision of a practicing professional land surveyor; or proof of 10 years of progressive practical experience satisfactory to the board, 6 years of which shall have been under the direct supervision of a practicing professional land surveyor.<BR>4. Three character references, one of whom is a professionaive regulatory environment for consumer service industries.<BR><BR>The PLSIT Examination must be passed prior to application for full licensure.
