OSTEOPATHIC PHYSICIAN <br><br>An osteopathic physician treats, or professes to treat, operates on, or prescribes for any physical ailment, physical injury, or deformity. Licensing is also available for osteopathic physicians and medical laboratory directors.<br><br>REQUIREMENTS:<br>Submit the following: 1) two letters of recommendation from medical professionals; 2) a recently taken bust photo; 3) criminal background check; 4) confirmation of satisfactory completion from the head of the applicant's residency training program; 5) all other documents as necessary to satisfy education and examination requirements.<br><br>EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:<br>Pre-med degree, and graduate transcript from medical school reflecting a conferred degree (DO) whose curriculum is approved by the AOA. Satisfactory proof of completion of one-year, AOA or AMA approved residency program. There are no known international osteopathic medicine programs. <br><br>EXAMINATION REQUIREMENTS:<br>Have successfully completed the COMLEX, USMLE, FLEX, National Board, or State Board exam.
