ELEVATOR INSPECTOR<br><br> An elevator inspector is an employee of Tennessee who is authorized to inspect elevators, escalators and new or altered dumbwaiters for compliance with state requirements. Inspectors must make or be present at all required inspections. <br><br>REQUIREMENTS: <br>Elevator inspectors are Qualified Elevator Inspector (QEI) certified. Present evidence satisfactory to the Board of experience in inspecting elevators and satisfy the examination requirement. <br><br>EXAMINATION REQUIREMENT: <br>Satisfactory performance on an examination administered by the Qualified Elevator Inspector Training Fund (QEITF).<br><br>RENEWAL: <br>Annual training and renewal are required.
