FIRE EXTINGUISHER SPECIALIST<br><br>A person employed by a company which installs or services portable fire extinguishers or fixed fire extinguisher systems who is certified as an extinguisher specialist. The specialist inspects and approves installation and repair or servicing. <br><br>PROSPECTIVE:<br> A firm which installs or services portable fire extinguishers or fixed fire extinguisher systems must employ at least one certified extinguisher specialist. <br><br>REQUIREMENTS: <br>Pass a state examination. (Applicants can be exempted if they work only on a fixed system and provide satisfactory proof of successful completion of a course on the system and test by a major manufacturer).
