WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT OPERATOR GRADEIII<BR><BR>Person who is qualified to control the manipulation of equipment and thereby determine the quality of the effluent from a wastewater treatment plant that is classified as Grade III. <BR><BR>PROSPECTIVE:<BR>Certification is required for persons in direct charge of wastewater treatment plants of Grade III. <BR><BR>REQUIREMENTS: <BR>An applicant must meet education and experience and examination requirements. <BR><BR>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: <BR>High school education or equivalent and twelve months of operating experience at a Grade II or a Grade III wastewater treatment plant. A maximum of three months of college classwork or related training can be substituted for the same amount of experience. <BR><BR>CONTINUING EDUCATION:<BR>Within each 3-year period each certified operator must satisfactorily complete a conference, training course, or school approved by the Board. <BR><BR>EXAMINATIONS:<BR>Examination is written (except accommodations made for disability). It may contain matching, multiple choice, true-false, discussion, and short answer questions and may contain problems. 70% is required to pass.
