Individuals must graduate from an American Dental Association Commison on Dental Accreditation accredited dental hygiene program, have training for anaesthesia and restorative, have a certification of successful completion of the Dental Hygiene National Board Examination, pass required clinical examinations and state jurispridence examination, provide a work history and receive a state license.
