MEDICAL ASSISTANTS SOC Code 31-9092 Entry Salary $13.40/hr Average Salary $16.14/hr Job Description Audiometric Technicians/Audiology Aides, under the supervision of a licensed audiologist, conduct fixed intensity air conduction screenings; perform automatic type tympanometry screening procedures following the specified screening protocols developed by the supervisor; carry out prescriptive aural rehabilitation programming; assist with informal documentation; keeping daily logs of screenings performed; perform checks on hearing aids and other assistive listening devices; clean hearing aids; instruct clients in the use of assistive listening devices; schedule activities, prepare charts, records, graphs, or otherwise display data; assist the supervisor in taking earmold impressions; perform simple checks and maintenance of equipment; and participate with supervisor in research projects, in-service training, and public relations programs. Requirements 1.Be at least 18 years old. 2.Have a high school education or equivalent. 3.Good moral character. 4.Participate in annual training. 5.A minimum of 25 hours of observational training before licensing. 6.Supervised client contact of 25 hours before licensing.
