Certification: Certified Commissioning Authority (CxA)

The CxA program recognizes independent building commissioning professionals who demonstrate the technical, management, and communications skills required for competent performance. The scope of the CxA program is aligned with the certification scheme for commissioning professionals developed by the U.S. Department of Energy's Better Buildings program, which was evaluated and then adopted by the ACG Certification Council.

To schedule a test, you must have already completed and submitted an application for certification and been approved to take the exam. Exams are available at Kryterion external site Testing Centers

Advanced

The certification has an education level of an Associates of Arts or Associates of Sciences degree or higher and has a work experience requirement of more than 2 years, or requires obtaining a ‘core’ level certification from the same organization.
