All applicants shall: be required to demonstrate United States citizenship or legal presence; Be of good moral character; Be a high school graduate or the equivalent, as determined by the Board; Have successfully completed an approved practical nursing program of at least one (1) year in length; Pass the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN); Those practical nurses already licensed in another state may apply for Alabama License by endorsement.
