An applicant for licensure as an occupational therapy assistant shall be a citizen of the United States or a person who is legally present in the United States with appropriate documentation from the federal government, and shall file a written application on forms provided by the board, showing to the satisfaction of the board fulfillment of all of the following requirements: Evidence of satisfactory and successful completion of all academic requirements for degree or certificate conferral from an education program in occupational therapy recognized by the board and accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education of the American Occupational Therapy Association, Incorporated.; Applicant shall pass an examination to test his or her knowledge of the basic clinical sciences related to occupational therapy, and occupational therapy theory and practice, the applicants professional skills and judgment in the utilization of occupational therapy techniques and methods, and such other subjects as the board may deem useful to determine the applicant's fitness to practice.
