This applicant should: At least 16 years old; submit a licensing fee; Has education equivalent to the completion of 10 grades in school; Has passed the Board Examination; Complete either: a. A course in cosmetology consisting of no less than 1,000 credit unit hours or b. An apprenticeship in a cosmetology salon for not less than 2,000 hours of apprenticeship.
