License: Residential Building Contractor

Residential Building Contractors construct, contract, undertake to construct, assume charge in a supervisory capacity, or otherwise manage the construction of a single family residence consisting of one but not more than four units of new construction. Requirements: 1) A complete application required. 2) Must submit the completed reference forms showing at least 4 years of experience (for new application); in the alternative, the applicant may take and pass an examination in lieu of showing experience. 3) Must submit current compiled balance sheet less than one year old showing positive net worth. 4) Must have a passing test score for the Arkansas Business and Law exam. 5) Worker's Compensation coverage is required, if there are employee(s). Examination and Fees: Examination (Arkansas Business and Law): $84.00. New application fee: $100.00, Renewal application fee: $50.00, Renewal application late fee: $100.00.
