License: Home Improvement Salesperson Registration

Sales representatives who solicit, sell, negotiate or execute home improvement contracts for a licensed contractor outside the contractor's normal place of business, regardless of the dollar amount of those contracts, must be registered with the Contractors State License Board. The sales representative must hold a Home Improvement Salesperson (HIS) Registation for each contractor for whom he solicits work (Business and Professions Code, Sections 7152 - 7153.3). Application Fee: $200 Experience Requirement: None Exam Requirement: None. Renewal Fee: Timely $200; Delinquent $300 Renewal Period: Every two years.
