License: Plumber

DESCRIPTION OF OCCUPATION: A Plumber assembles, installs, and repairs pipe systems used to carry water, gas, steam, and air. They may also install and repair plumbing fixtures such as sinks and bathtubs. REQUIREMENTS FOR LICENSING: Experience requirements: For Journey Worker Plumber, 5 years but not less than 10,000 hours of plumbing work in compliance with the Uniform Plumbing code (UPC). For Master Plumber, registration as a licensed journey worker plumber in this or another state for at least 2 years. The experience and/or training can be in the form of verification of apprenticeship training, verification of licensure, or a notarized signature of a qualified plumber attesting to the applicant's experience in plumbing work. EXAMINATIONS: Exam based on the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC) administered by Prometric. FEES: Between July 1, 2022 and June 30, 2023 pay $102.
