License: Barber

Barbers must be licensed by the Idaho State Bureau of Occupational Licenses. In order to obtain a license, an applicant must: 1) Document completion of the tenth grade; 2) Be at least sixteen and one-half years of age; 3) Document completion of 900 hours of training for barbering, or 1,800 hours for barber-styling from a board-approved school; 4) Pass an exam. The holder of a current license in another state may also be eligible for licensure. Term: Licenses are renewed annually.
