Electrologists must be licensed by the Idaho State Board of Cosmetology. In order to obtain a license, an applicant must: 1) Be at least sixteen and one-half years of age; 2) Complete two years of high school or the equivalent; 3) Complete 800 hours of training for electrology; 3) Graduate from a board approved school; 4) Pass a written and practical exam. Term: Licenses are renewed annually.
