Specialty plumbers must be licensed by the state of Idaho and are only allowed to work in their area of specialization. Specialty licenses are available in the areas of: Appliance, Water Pump, and Mobile Home plumbing. Specialty Apprentice Plumbers must: 1.) Be at least 16 years of age; 2.) Submit an application with required documents and fees; 3.) Be employed by a licensed specialty plumbing contractor; 4.) Work under the constant supervision of a specialty plumbing journeyman. Term: Licenses are valid for three (3) years for specialty apprentices.
