Physician Assistants must be licensed with the Idaho State Board of Medicine. To become licensed, applicants must: 1.) Submit fingerprints and pass a criminal background check; 2.) Have a Bachelor's degree; 3.) Complete a nationally accredited physician assistant program; 4.) Pass a national certification exam; 5.) Be supervised by a person licensed to practice medicine. Term: Licenses can be renewed annually or bi-annually.
