License: Hemp Licenses

<h3>Occupational Description</h3><br>As of 2019, LB657 allows for licensed hemp cultivators and processors to grow, harvest, process, and market hemp in Nebraska. Growing, handling, and/or processing hemp without a signed license agreement in illegal in Nebraska.<br><h3>Licensure Requirements</h3><br>Applicants must: 1. Be at least 18 years old; 2. Have not had a felony drug conviction within the last 10 years, as demonstrated by a criminal background check; 3. Complete and submit an application; 4. Provide certification that the applicant has complete control over the site; 5. Allow NDA to acess the site for inspections; 5. Pay the required fees. Cultivators must also allow NDA to sample hemp grown at least 30 days prior to harvest and submit to approved laboratory testing (at the cultivator’s expense) to determine that the plant contains less than 0.3% tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Licensees must submit a new application and pay the applicable fees. For the 2019 growing season, all hemp licensing agreements will expire on December 31, 2019.
