License: Corrections Officer

A corrections officer is a member of a law enforcement unit who is employed full-time and is charged with and primarily the duty of custody, control or supervision of individuals convicted or arrested for a criminal offense and confined in a place of incarceration or detention other than a place used exclusively for incarceration or detention of juveniles; has been certified as a corrections officer and has supervisory or management authority for corrections officers; or is a full-time employee of DPSST and possesses the requisite qualifications.
