SPRINKLER SYSTEM CONTRACTOR, RESPONSIBLE MANAGING EMPLOYEES (RME)<br><br> A fire protection sprinkler system contractor RME is designated to be in active and responsible charge of the work of the fire protection sprinkler system contractor. [An architect who functions as a fire protection sprinkler system contractor's responsible managing employee (RME) must also be licensed for this occupation.] <br><br>REQUIREMENTS: <br>Be at least 18 years of age; licensed as an Architect or Engineer in the State of Tennessee; or satisfy examination requirement. <br><br>EXAMINATION REQUIREMENTS: <br>Successful completion of the examination administered by the National Institute for Certification of Engineering Technology (NICET) Complete requirements for certification at Level III for fire protection automatic sprinkler systems layout.
