OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANT<br><br> An occupational therapy assistant assists in the practice of occupational therapy, which may include assisting in the evaluation, treatment and consultation regarding specific occupational therapy services; may teach daily living skills and developing perceptual motor skills, and pre-vocational and vocational abilities, under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist licensed in Tennessee.<br><br> REQUIREMENTS: <br>Be at least 18 years of age, of good moral character, and satisfy the education and examination requirements. <br><br>EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: <br>Successfully complete the academic requirements of an educational program in occupational therapy or occupational therapy assistant approved by the Board of Occupational Therapy and accredited by the Commission on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association in collaboration with the American Occupational Therapy Association. <br><br>EXAMINATION REQUIREMENTS: <br>The Occupational Therapy Registration examination administered by The National Board of Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
