License: FIRE SPRINKLER RESPONSIBLE MANAGING EMPLOYEE

A fire sprinkler responsible managing employee (RME) may plan, sell, install, maintain, service and certify residential or commercial fire sprinkler systems to the extent permitted by their type of license. A registered firm that employs a full-time General RME is permitted to plan, sell, install, maintain, service and certify any and all types and parts of a fire sprinkler system under the supervision of the General RME. An Underground RME may be employed by a firm that will sell, install, maintain, service and certify all underground water supply piping for any fire sprinkler system. A registered firm that employs a full-time Dwelling RME is permitted to plan, sell, install, maintain, service and certify all parts of a one or two-family dwelling fire sprinkler system under the supervision of the Dwelling RME. RME-General Inspector--A license issued to an individual who is designated by a registered firm to perform the inspection, test, and maintenance service for a fire protection sprinkler system according to the standards adopted in this subchapter.
