Individuals must successfully complete high school or equivalent, read, write and converse in English, successfully complete college or post-secondary program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools or the Commission or Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (or listed equivalent), successfully passed the certified medical assistant examination through the American Association of Medical Assistants OR the registered medical assistant cerfication through the American Medical Technologists OR the clinical medical assistant certification examination through the National Health Career Association or the certified medical assistant examination through the National Center for Competency Testing.
