Individuals must either be nationally certified under the National Elevator Industry Education Program or the Certified Elevator Technician Program sponsored by the National Association of Elevator Contractors, or have earned a certificate of completion of an elevator mechanic apprenticeship program that met required standards and is registered with the Washington State Apprenticeship and Training Council or by completing a written examination and provide proof of documented experience and education creduts in the elevator industry performing conveyance work as verified by current and prior employers AND fill out the required application and pay the required $164.10 fee.
