License: AESTHETICS INSTRUCTOR

An aesthetics instructor is a person who provides practical instruction in aesthetics in a barbering & cosmetology school or in an aesthetics school licensed by the Department. Persons who provide only instruction in theory are not included in this description. An aesthetics instructor must hold a current barbering and cosmetology instructor certificate or a current aesthetics instructor certificate. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must complete 2,000 hours of practice as a licensed aesthetician and 150 hours of instructor training approved by the Department. FEES: Examination fees are $204, which includes initial credential fee, $82-Renewal fee, $107 with late fee; due by March 31st of odd-numbered years.
