NURSING ASSISTANTS SOC Code 31-1014 Entry Salary $12.17/hour Median Salary $14.33/hour Job Description Medication Assistants-Certified are certified to, under the supervision of a licensed nurse, provide medications to adult patients with chronic, stable conditions where predictable outcomes are expected from these interaction, as well as other tasks performed by certified nurse assistants. Tasks may include performing delegated tasks such as basic nursing skills, personal care skills, basic restorative skills, using communication skills and nursing team member skills, for clients in hospitals and Nursing Homes. Requirements 1. Be 18 years of age. 2. Have a high school diploma or GED. 3. Have a current, unencumbered CNA certificate with successful completion of CNA II training. 4. Complete a board-approved Medication Assistant-Certified (MA-C) training and evaluation program. 5. Successfully pass a MA-C exam. Restrictions Convicted of any act of sexual molestation.
