Description of Occupation: A midwife provides prenatal care to pregnant women, delivers babies in the home or in the hospital, and provides postnatal care.Requirements for Licensing: US Citizen, residence or under employment contract (1-2 years). If foreign worker must sit for national examination and hold active license in own country. Proof of active practice in past nine months. Certificate or diploma from program of midwifery.
